Description
Carbon dioxide test is also known as CO2, Bicarbonate etc, It is used to Screen Electrolyte or acid base imbalance in the body.This test can be ordered when acidosis or alkalosis is suspected with acute symptoms like prolonged vomiting and/or diarrhea ,weakness , fatigue, difficulty in breathing etc.
Specimen used for this test are serum or heparinized plasma( Do not use EDTA, Oxalate,Citrate anticoagulants)
